The end is near!

As every year comes to an end it gets me thinking about what i want out of the new year. I always try and set small goals and a lot of the time i either stick with it for just the first few months or maybe even weeks! I'm hoping this year can be different somehow.  I don't usually like to write things about my myself unless it has to do with my family but a huge goal i want to work on this year is loving myself and who i am.  I have always been self-conscious so this is something i need to work on really bad this new year.

I'm ready for 2014! Are you? Any resolutions to share??

Emmalee turns 3!

I can't believe i just tiled this entry Emmalee turns 3 because it feels so surreal to me that i have a 3 year old. I don't think it gets easier realizing how big she is getting each year. I'm so proud of the little girl she has become but it's so bittersweet knowing she isn't a baby anymore. Yesterday (november 30th was her real birthday) which we celebrated by having cake for breakfast, taking her to build anything of her chose at Teddy Mountain and went out to lunch, she had fun but we saved the blast for her party which was today (December 1st). We had friends and family join us and it was so nice having everyone come together for my little girl. We had a really tough time deciding what to get this girl for her birthday but she has been LOVING my kindle lately so we knew we were going to try and get her a tablet. It's just our luck that her birthday falls right by Black Friday and we get the good deals on things! We got her a kindle fire and she loves it all to much!

Eating cake for breakfast was the coolest thing to her!

The Elephant she chose to make and the cute cowgirl outfit she picked for it!

The Kindle she got on her birthday<3

Made this with a bunch of pictures i've collected over the years and it still blows my mind she was this little 7lbs 2oz baby girl once.

Today was her party. Our original plan was to do despicable me but they didn't sell any of it in stores which i didn't understand so her second favorite was Toy Story!

Thanksgiving 2013!

Thanksgiving was great, a ton of food and alot of regret from it is a must. Every year it works out perfect with our families. My mother eats early on in the day (around 2-3pm) and my mother in law eats around 6-7 so works out perfect. The kids get in naps in between and everyone stays happy that way (hahaha!)   This year we went to my mother in laws church for a service which we normally don't do but she asked us to come. We had breakfast there then came home to rest before stuffing our faces. It was finally cold for a holiday here in Florida which is a rarity!

And the family grows!

My cousin Dericks baby boy was brought into the world Monday (November 25th) and we got to meet him. He was so little. It's so crazy to think i had two newborns at one point. I can't even remember back that far it seems!

7lbs 12ozs!

Emmalees birthday is this friday so we are getting birthday cards in the mail from distant relatives & My father sent his gift and we got it in the mail today, i was hoping to wait until her actual birthday to open it but the guy showed up at the door and Em freaked out with excitement and wanted to open it and lets just say it made her entire day to get her first birthday gift early! I love this age, when they actually know what toys they like and dislike and when they get the things they want they just couldn't be happier. I live to see her excited!

She had to sleep with it, go potty with it and wanted to bath with it but that was a no lol she is in love! can't wait until this weekend for her party<3

Finally back at it!

It's been awhile but i am excited to get back to blogging! I feel like i take so many pictures each day and never post them and they just go to waste so i will start posting them here to have later on.

Since i posted Ezra has turned 1, we had his birthday party a few weeks ago (dinosaur theme). Can't believe he is already one years old. Emmalee turns 3 this saturday (November 30th) and i can't believe that either. Kids really do grow up in the blink of an eye.

Some pictures of the Birthday boy & party!

Beach weather!

Last Monday Ezra experienced his first beach fun day! The weather is starting to warm up, the water itself was a little chilly but Emmalee didn't think so and she had a blast! Ezra loved it too, he ended up sleeping a lot of the time in his carrier while i wore him. (I blame the ocean sound, it's too peaceful not to try and sleep.)

Hoping for many more of these days this summer!

I can't wait until ezra can enjoy the sun & water!

Hope you are resting well.

Today was the first time in 6 years that I finally went to see my grandmother at her grave site.  I wish I would have gone sooner but either way today meant a lot to me.  I took my daughter to "meet" her great grandma, i know Emmalee is only 2 and does not understand that she ever had a great grandmother let alone knows what death means and all that but it was really warming to have her come with me.  I like to think my grandmother saw us there today and was watching how much it meant to me.  I would of given anything to have Emmalee and Ezra be able to meet her just once.

I plan on going to visit way more often now. I think i just needed that first time to get past cause i really wasn't sure how i would do visiting her.  I actually feel terrible i have not gone before today besides the funeral. I will never forget the day it happened.

But enough sadness for today. Here are some beautiful pictures that i got today of Emmalee with my grandpa and grandma. My grandfather died before i was born so i never got to meet him.

I can't wait to show her these one day when she is older and can understand.
